Concept
:
(Object or topic - folder-document)
We create documents about any topic or object. A document always
describes an object or topic in some form or other. There can be
many types of documents for any single topic or object. To avoid
mix up, we prefer to segregate them and put them in different folders,
named accordingly. For example, all drawing for a building can be
put to a folder called drawings, and all agreements with the holders
of flats in the building can be kept together in a folder called
“agreements”. In this case, the building is the object
and folders are 1) Drawings and 2) Agreements and all the drawings
and all the agreements are the documents.
In DocMan, we represent a class of topics or objects symbolically
in one or more diagrams. A set of appropriately named folders is
created in a menu form. All documents are converted to electronic
format and attached to respective folders of respective objects.
