  MathCement :

Why should you buy MathCement? :

Question 1:
I produce cement and I don’t have to learn MathCement – why should I?

  • But you did go to school and college and they did not teach you how to make cement either. At the same time if you didn’t go to college you won’t be here.
  • MathCement prepares you better with relevant knowledge

Question 2:
What does MathCement mean?

  • In short, it’s mathematics of cement.
  • It’s a collection of many sample mathematical calculations as applied to cement plant process engineering.

Question 3:
How is it different from a book?

  • It’s an electronic handbook. It’s live on the computer. So you can change any input data and the calculation is redone instantly.
  • It uses built-in-units feature of Mathcad and so you can enter data in any relevant unit. You can also see you results in any preferred units.

Question 4:
I could do the calculations through a software programme. Why should I have MathCement?

  • You will have to engage a programmer and do many sets of manual calculations to verify the programme.
  • A typical programme is scripted using computer language. Though you can just give the data and get results, it comes to you like a “black box”. It does not show you how the results are arrived at.
  • It’s difficult to trust a programme unless you see how it does what it does.

Question 5:
I could do the calculations also in Excel. Why should I have MathCement?

  • Excel is a spreadsheet where formulae are hidden in the cells. It restricts you to rigid tabular structure.
  • Hidden formulae in cells make it difficult to check, track back or see the whole picture.
  • Excel has no facility for integration of units in the calculations. All calculations are done with pure numbers devoid of the respective units of the variables.
  • Excel does not provide any facility for error trapping in formulae, which could arise due to undefined variables, inconsistency in units etc. MathCement does it easily and points out exactly where the error is and why?
